Anybody? Anybody? I did, and I was disappointed to learn I was number 30 at my polling place, and I went at about 5 p.m.
There was only one race (I could vote in) where I live, which was the Kryzan/Davis/Powers race.
It is my opinion that Jack Davis is a bat-**** crazy old man and that Jon Powers cannot be trusted....my union endorsed Jon Powers, and when I talked to my Union Rep, I asked why? And the rep. said, "I don't know." Not good enough for me, sorry. I have never subscribed to that mob mentality, and I ain't about to start now.
So I voted for Alice Kryzan. Yes, I know she was the defense lawyer for Occidental/Hooker Chemical after the Love Canal, and I grew up there, but you know what? It was 30 years ago and my parents and I got about 6 times what our crappy little Sears Roebuck house was worth.
She has a plan for "green collar" jobs, and is Pro-Choice. Those are big issues with me.
Weirdly enough, Dan Rivera called (his own self) my house on Sunday and we got into a 15 minute discussion about why I, as a Democrat should vote for Jon Powers. It was a civil enough discussion, but I was still not really sure why I should vote for Powers....
So I guess I will see what happens tonight. It would be a nice surprise if Alice won, I think.

I just got back from the polls after working today and sneaking in 9 holes at Deerwood...I must admit I was really torn between Krysan and Davis....and after weighing in all the "facts" (who can even trust them nowadays) I went with the businessman over the Lawyer I was the 129th Democrat to vote at the polling place (Rescue Hall N. Tonawanda) and had to walk 2 blocks because of little league football practice taking all the parking, but I haven't missed an oportunity to vote yet in 30 eligible years and I wasn't going to let a lot full of football moms and dads deter me from my public right....now I'm home enjoying a cold one and waiting for the results! I didn't even have to dip my thumb in purple ink to keep me from voting again! What a great Country!
DD! In regards to the right to vote thing, I hear ya! I vote in every little rinky-dink election, I will NOT miss it! The volunteers at my PP know that my BF and I always vote in everything....and we always walk our dogs up to the corner with us. The one volunteer asked me today, "Did you bring your dogs with you to vote?"
Unfortunately I havent found a way around that "dogs can't vote" loophole yet...
