There has been a lot of criticism of the census in the past months, with accusations of everything from invasive, inconvenient and expensive to a full-blown fascist conspiracy. Rep. Michelle Bachman urged her constituents to boycott the program. Right-wing-nut Glenn Beck insisted it was a government plot to increase slavery.
I filled out mine today, squinting through bitter tears of anger. They asked all kinds of intimately personal questions they had no right to know!
Things like, my name.
How dare they? Next they wanted my address! The nerve of these people.
Then, the straw that broke the camel's back, they wanted to know how many people lived here! What right does the government have to facts they already possess!!!
I felt so violated, having to give up information readily available on my driver's license.
