Today I feel supremely hopeful about our country's future. There is a chance for our country to be great again. A chance to right the wrongs of the last eight years. A chance to restore accountability and responsibility to every facet of our government. A chance to rebuild international bridges of trust and respect. A chance to undo the dishonorable deeds of the now defunct and failed administration.
I agree with you completely, Mindcrime. I am getting so frustrated from reading and hearing all of the hateful comments. How can the outcome from President Obama's term in office possibly be as detrimental as the past 8 years?? This contant talk of "re-distribution of wealth" is absurd. I can't believe people really think that the government is going to take everything we have, in order to give it back to the bottom feeders! Obama is a strong proponent of personal responsibility, hard work and opportunity. NOT HANDOUTS!
His election into office has already had a positive affect on our world image. We have a ton of work to do to hold our current representation responsible for their actions in office. They have to earn the respect of their constituents by actually delivering on promises. That also goes for Obama.
I am excited and hopeful about the direction we are going in, and I truly hope that he can deliver!
I agree with both you of! As a person that, admittedly, has never been very interested in politics, this election both intrigued and inspired me. I am proud to say that I voted for him!
There's almost something magical about Obama... He's sincere, honest and dedicated - qualities we haven't seen in a presidential candidate in a long time.
Obama has a difficult road ahead of him - the nation is in pretty sorry shape but I think if anybody can turn it around, it's him. And I hope too that he doesn't let us down.
