The Sabres could still make the playoffs if;

1)  They win out, and;

2) The Ranger lose out, and;

3)  Half of the league gets food poisoning from a bad Easter dinner, and;

4)  Pittsburgh decides pro sports is a waste of money and drops all franchises immediately, and;

5)  Philadelphia leaves the NHL to become the inaugural team in the Womens'NHL.

OR if

A.  An asteroid destroys NYC, New Jersey, Philadelphia, and;

B.  An Earthquake disrupts play an the entire west coast, and;

C.  Obama Declares war on Canada over the use of the word Dollar in their currency, and;

D.  A storm the size of the red spot on Jupiter destroys the entire southeast.

THEN, the Buffalo Sabres will make the playoffs.
